Recovery Walks Draws Hundreds - more than 400 people attended. Mary Supina, co-founder of Sandusky Artisans wants the community to know that recovery is alive and well. In attendance were many providers of Erie County, as well as, Diane Taylor, Executive Director, Alyssa McGue, Fiscal Manager, and Cheryl Huss, Office Coordinator for The ADAMHS Board. On September 14, 2024, the Sandusky Artisans Recovery Community Center is set to host its 11th Annual Recovery Walk. Emphasizing the beauty of recovery, Sandusky Artisans offers a range of recovery support services, including peer support and numerous recovery-focused meetings and activities throughout the year. The ADAMHS Board contributes funding and also joins the walk, demonstrating solidarity with individuals on their path to recovery. |

On August 31, 2024, the ADAMHS Board acknowledged Overdose Awareness Day, a solemn occasion for mourning those lost to overdoses. The day serves to heighten awareness of the overdose epidemic, honor the memory of loved ones, and bolster community efforts to combat drug addiction. |

On May 1, 2024, the ADAMHS Board held an important meeting regarding the re-initiation of the Suicide Prevention Coalition of Erie County. Those in attendance were from local businesses, healthcare, human resources, law enforcement, mental health agencies, schools, and survivors. Kaptur House will open soon to give those dealing with a health crisis a chance to recover.
