Client rights offer legal assurance of respectful treatment, the freedom to make informed decisions about received services, and a guarantee of confidentiality. The Alcohol, Drug Addiction, and Mental Health Services Board of Erie County has a client rights officer to assist with any grievances or inquiries concerning your rights. 


The Alcohol, Drug Addiction, and Mental Health Services Board of Erie County acts as a financier for mental health, and alcohol and drug addiction treatment services that are publicly funded. The Board recognizes the personal nature of your health information. We are dedicated to protecting your health information and ensuring it is secure from unauthorized access or disclosure.



 In accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), the ADAMHS Board will ensure that it complies with the law and to establish appropriate and reasonable administrative procedures to safeguard client's protected health information.
